j-garden is a little secret garden with reference knowledge about the random subject matter i have become hyper-fixated on, possibly random musings i want to share with less accessibility friction, inspirations or pieces of wisdom, and maybe some other stuff. as this garden grows this homepage will expand to organize it all.

in the age of artificial intelligence, it's very common to ask an AI agent to just make your code widgets for you. as tempting as it is, that costs the environment a steep price. so i've provided a few that i've worked on to act as templates so that you don't have to start from scratch and are able to save roughly the amount of time you would if you used an AI agent. moral of the story: don't use AI agents.

check out my free film school curriculum which compiles a list of books and suggested exercises to get some groundwork to filmmaking without dishing out money for tuition. obviously it's not going to give you the communal experience which represents the lion's share of the value from film school, but it can get you up to speed on the fundamentals of creating films.
